Custom instruments are what Armor Guitar Company is all
about. Each instrument is built one at a time – by one person –
not a production line. You also have my individual attention, for example
with a custom order, the progress of your guitar from planks to finish is
accessible by a private page on the Armor Website.
All parts are cut and shaped by hand, not machines. As an example, a dreadnaught
guitar, the only parts that are ordered pre-made are the tuners, the frets
themselves, the strings, the bridge pins and tail pin. Inlays are generally
premade and installed by hand depending on what is needed.
Every aspect of your guitar can be customized for you – from the shape
and feel of the neck, to the body style and size. Wood choices for backs and
sides are also a wide open option - from industry standards such as mahogany
and rosewood to more environmentally friendly and renewable resource woods
such as cherry, oak, walnut and maple.
Custom guitars with spruce piano sound boards that range from 75 years and
older are becoming a signature for Armor Guitar.
"I am the proud owner of a custom
Armor Guitar. It has a sound like nothing I have ever heard, and the playability
is superb. Rich even tones that account for a soothing sound can be noted
for Armor Guitars. Wait until you put this guitar in a crowd of people. The
big sound of this instrument will stand tall above the rest. But that's not
all.... This guitar in the studio provides an equal sound from the top strings
to the bottom. Place this guitar in front of a good tube mic and let the good
times roll. "Outstanding Quality" sums it up this fine instrument.
